Have You Had A Good Look At A GBE Tuned Exhaust Pipe?

GBE Tuned Pipes For HPI Baja 5B

Just today the GBE team did a quick photo shoot of the two pipes we currently offer. The GBE Side Bleed tuned pipe and the GBE End Bleed tuned pipe for the HPI Baja 5B. We felt that there may still be people who have not seen the pipes side by side. The picture on the left clearly shows the features, quality and distinction between the two tuned exhaust pipes. There are video’s on the Internet where people have done side by side sound tests between the two pipes which is awesome to hear and see. The GBE tuned pipes are side mounted on the Baja 5b and offer easy to bolt on design staying well within the damage zone of the car. You can roll your Baja 5b over and the pipes do not touch the ground giving you the best protected after market pipe today.

The Performance Gained By Bolting On A GBE Tuned Exhaust Pipe.

Take your average RTR Baja 5b from the box, unbolt the stock exhaust system, spread a little ATV on the GBE header flange, install the head studs and then install the GBE header pipe. Proceed to install the forward pipe mount on the frame of your Baja 5b with the supplied hardware. The silicone connector is already installed for you on the expansion chamber from our factory leaving you to only slide the connector on to the header pipe. Once it’s on the car, position it over the forward mounting stud and install the nylock nut supplied in the kit. Add the two zip ties to the connector and then be sure the header nuts are tight and you will be finished with the GBE tuned exhaust pipe installation. For additional performance gains we recommend the GBE velocity stack which includes the 2-stage air filter and all needed hardware to install it on your Baja 5b. The initial throttle hit is smooth and deliberate from the car and maintains a linear powerband. The grunt at low through the mid range on both pipes is smooth with both pipes producing screaming top end.

How Does This Affect The RC Racing?

The GBE tuned exhaust pipes are real drivers pipes meaning that with the combined velocity stack and tuned exhaust pipe you can use driving techniques like feathering the throttle in a corner producing a smooth drift. It also means that in low traction conditions you can use as much or as little of the power you need for the application at hand and still move the car forward with earnest. Most of the time the power produced by these pipes will motor the Baja 5b down the track and you may never see the end of the power produced by your engine. The engine runs so efficiently that it will seem like you’ll never run out of power making these pipes the true drivers pipe. From the dunes to the track, front and backyards everywhere, the GBE tuned exhaust pipes deliver race ready performance for a hobbyist price.
